Well I have been working on a new and exciting post for the last day or so, you know, in my free time ;-) and I had to put the breaks on it...this is breaking news from the Razzi household...BUB IS POTTY TRAINING!! Yes, you heard me correctly, BUB. That crazy little boy wants to do everything his big brother does, including using the potty. For the past week or 2 he has been yanking off his diaper and exclaiming, "I pee in potty". And I would let him try. The key word being try. Until last Friday...trying turned into actually doing. Evidently that is all it took because the kid is champ now. The past 2 days I have let him tell me when he wants to use the potty, no pressure...just whenever. And for the past 2 days he has reliably gone every time he has requested. So I figure he is really getting this and today, after his nap, I threw some undies on him. Annnndddd....drum roll please.....he only had 1 accident before bedtime!!! AND that when that one accident occurred the sweet little one came and told me, "I pee on carpet. I go in potty" and then ran to the potty and finished!! Praise to the Lord Almighty because I have had NOTHING to do with this happening, but oh am I thankful that it is!!

The Interviewer
Bean is walking around this morning with a S.W.A.T. helmet on. He is going up to Bub and Belle and pretending to interview them. The following is an official transcript of the official interviews being conducted here today.
Bean to Bub: Umm excuse me mister. Do you like the letter A?
Bub: Uh-huh
Bean: Do you know a word that starts with the letter A?
Bub: Arrrrrrrrrrrr
Bean: No, that's a pirate's favorite letter. Apple starts with A. Okay, thanks, bye.
Bean to Belle: Excuse me mam, do you know the letter A?
Belle: Yeeeeaaaahh.
Bean: Okay great. What word starts with the letter A?
Belle: Ummm apple.
Bean: Yes, that's right. Good job. Do you know the letter S?
At this point Belle loses interest and Bean is left without anyone to interview
They have since moved on to playing in their kitchen and riding the bus.

9 Weeks
This first trimester seems to drag by every time. Both with Bub and Baby Bear, I have had to rewind my ticker a whole week because at the first sono with each of them they measured a week behind where we should have been. So even though I should be 10 weeks, here we sit at 9 weeks. *sigh*. Oh well! 3 more week to go...almost to the fun part!
That being said, let me fill you in on what we (Baby Bear & I) have been up to. Well sweet Baby Bear has been giving me fits of nausea. On and off, all day, every day. I am living in waves of hormones, "I'm fine!!! Things are great! This is easy"...."Bleh. I don't feel very well. I need to lay down. I can't handle that smell, and I definitely can not eat that"....."Oh my gosh I am starving!! I have to have eggs with A1 sauce on them right now, and a pickle!". Yup, that's about right. I ride those 3 waves all day. And usually by the time I make the one food that I am craving I am back to the point that I can't handle smelling it, more or less eating it.
The one "old faithful" thing that is good every time is water. I was hooked on water with lemon for a bit but then I started getting heart burn from the lemon. But, seriously, water hasn't failed me yet (I have had points in both past pregnancies where water will suddenly taste like vegetable oil...absolutely disgusting). But literally everything else has had it's ups and downs depending on the moment.
One thing that is a bit different with this pregnancy (compared to the past 2) is that I am not taking progesterone supplements. With the boys I had low levels in my first trimester and had to take pills to compensate, not this time though. I think that is why I am feeling like a roller coaster of hormones, they aren't being artificially stabilized....not sure which I like better.
Enough about me, let's chat about Baby Bear. Did I tell you we told the boys?? We did! And they both were SO excited. Even sweet Bub. Bean was just pure, bubbly, joy...bursting at the seams with excitement. He already "gets" that the baby is in Mommy's tummy, and that it is coming out in May, and that it might be a baby brother or a baby sister, and that he gets to share a room with Bub, and the baby will be in his room, and that the baby will wear diapers, and have a pacie....this list goes on and on and on....and he will tell you all about it. Sweet Bub though...oh how I love that boy. When Hubs told him, he looked Daddy right in the eye and said, "I not share Bear". Literally, first words. We both gently explained to him that he would most certainly not have to share his bear, and that the baby will have his/her own bear. He seemed okay with this and now has moved onto saying, "I hold baby....I not baby". Perfect.
Ack! I was distracted again, Baby Bear...focus....Baby Bear is now 1" long. That is big. I can show Bean 1" and explain to him that his baby is that big. Very cool. Did I mention that we are going to be surprised with Baby Bear?? First time ever!! Did I also mention that we get a sono at every.single appointment!?!?!? Talk about being tested at every.single.appointment! We are going to try to stick to our guns and wait for delivery to find out WHO is in there!! Alrighty, no great way to wrap this up, other than to let you know that on top of my weird food cravings and aversions, I am constantly exhausted. Off to bed I go!!

Pigs in a Blankie
If you know Bean & Bub very well, then you know that they both LOVE their blankies, or "Ankies" as they are called around here. So with that in mind, you can imagine their excitement when I offered to make a new dinner for them, pigs in a blanket. OH MY GOODNESS!! You would have thought that I concocted some great, gourmet recipe for them. Pigs in a blankie are the new food of choice around here...*sigh* Why didn't I make some awesome, super healthy, amazing thing, wrap in a crescent roll and call that a pig in a blanket??

Noodles, Bub, Baby Bear & Ladybugs
Welcome to my random post of the day!! Let's take this items one by one and discuss. First, noodles. My old neighbor Rita makes amazing homemade chicken & noodles. It is a carb-filled wonderland of deliciousness for dinner. She and I spoke on the phone last night and...well...she was making chicken and noodles. I should probably add that when we were neighbors, if Rita made chicken & noodles, my family was there for dinner. We just worked that way :-). So after talking to her last night, and getting a pretend whiff of it over the phone...I must have chicken and noodles.
That being said, Bub started running a fever yesterday. And still has one today. And now has blistery sores on his hands and in his mouth. AGAIN. Yep, I am fairly certain, despite all odds, that my boy does indeed have Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease again. So we will remain in isolation until the fever passes, the blisters are gone and we are sure that Bean didn't get it.
On the bright side of things, Baby Bear is growing right along. We went to head to the 'Punkin Catch' and I literally could not button my jeans. Eeek. Good thing I have a huge tub of clothes for such a problem sitting in the garage. This revelation made me feel terrible, I shouldn't be in maternity clothes yet...right??? However, I was slightly relieved this morning when my week-by-week baby updater informed me that "your uterus is the size of an orange now, and you may find your waistline expanding". YES! It's not just me!! :-) I also found out today that the OB's office that I will be going to starting in November does complimentary sono's at EVERY SINGLE VISIT!!!! I literally asked the nurse on the phone 20 times about it. I was in complete disbelief and SO excited!!
Oh the ladybugs. I don't even want to go there but I need to rant a bit about it. I hate ladybugs. True. I hate them. I can tolerate spiders, grasshoppers, rollie pollies, anything other than ladybugs. When I was in college there was a HUGE infestation of ladybugs (technically Asian Beetles) in our dorm. They were everywhere. They smelled when you squished them and they were everywhere. Gross. So today I was completely flipped when our back door, and entire back side of our house was coated in ladybugs. Literally, coated. I went out armed with bug spray and let my doors and windows have it. After squashing 25+ ladybugs in our house, and spraying the bug spray all over, I am pleased to say we have not had any more intruders.
So here we are...trapped in our house with sickness inside and ladybugs outside. *sigh* I am going to the store by myself tonight to sufficiently stock us with supplies and maybe a few treats ;-)
