Funny Disasters of the Week

Here are a few of the funny disasters we encountered this week...

  • Bean spi**ed orange juice on my keyboard. Can you guess which key no *onger works??
  • I have been puh-eed on numerous times due to improper p*acement of man gear.
  • The dog tore open a bag of sugar a** over the famiy room whi*e we were gone.
  • Bub took a spi** down the stairs whi*e trying to wa*k around with his b*ankie (now known as "Ankie") on his head. Ouch.
  • Bean fe** out of Bub's bed whi*e we were reading books. For no reason at a**...he *itera**y just fe** out of bed. It was dramatic, as it a*ways is with him.
  • I have few bug bites on my *egs from the other day and Bean is convinced they are owies and that they hurt me. He is so freaked out about it. It is nice to get smooches a** over my *egs to make it better.

There you have it...not the end of the wor*d, just mi*d*y disastrous!

Bean & Bub's Best Books

Bean and Bub are readers. They both LOVE to be read to. They also love to read to themselves, and Bean will even read to us! It's great. We have quite the collection of kid books, but we also use the library every week for a few new books. Every so often, I am going to post on some of their current fave's. Enjoy!!

Bean's Best Books:
The Very Quiet Cricket by Eric Carle

This is probably Bean's absolute favorite book at the moment. He loves the predictability of the story, "But he did not make a sound" is at the end of every page, and he knows it! There are also new and unique bugs on each page, Eric Carle is so good at exposing kids to a wide variety of "stuff". When Bean reads this book to me, he knows each and every bug name. It is awesome.
Truck by Donald Crews
This book was a library book that we will be checking out again, and it just might show up on his birthday. It is a tad bit different from most books, there are no words. It is all illustrations of this truck on his journey to deliver boxes of bikes. Lots of great images. He loves it. He has made up an entire story about what this truck (or garbage man) is doing. And the best part is that since he made it up, he can read it to me, Bub...anyone that will listen.

Bub's Best Books:
That's Not My Tractor by Fiona Watt
Bub loves the "That's Not My..." series. Honestly, both kids enjoy them, and have enjoyed them from a very early age. These books are certainly faves. Bub likes to touch the pictures and even knows some of the adjectives that go along with certain books. Bean likes to read them out loud and make up the adjectives.

Tails by Mathew Van Fleet
Now this IS Bub's favorite book. We have read this book about a million times to him. He knows some of the words and will chime in, but mostly he loves all of the touchy, feely, shiny stuff. GREAT book!!!
